Set off on a private safari with the experts

Jacada specialises in crafting bespoke luxury safaris to Africa. Our experts have decades of combined experience, and have all lived and travelled extensively across the continent. We’ve tracked chimps in Mahale Mountains National Park, spent months following the Great Migration, stayed at the most incredible camps, sipped South Africa’s finest Chenin Blanc and summited Mount Kenya (almost more times than we can count). We’re on the ground regularly to visit new properties, review exclusive activities and follow meaningful conservation initiatives.

Our experience allows us to design an itinerary that’s perfect for you, combining the best places to stay with tours led by the most knowledgeable and engaging local guides.

No two journeys planned with Jacada are alike. Set off on an African safari in Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Mozambique, Uganda, Zambia or Zimbabwe, head for the white-sand beaches and dive sites of Mauritius, the Seychelles and Zanzibar, or combine ancient medinas with rugged mountains in Morocco.

Whatever you want your trip to include, we’ll create a bespoke journey just for you. We look after all the details so you can enjoy the wildlife, landscapes and warm authenticity of Africa in the knowledge that everything else is being taken care of. We’ll recommend the best lodges, camps and hotels, organise private tours and experiences, and arrange local guides who share your passions and interests.

As well as benefiting from the expertise of our travel designers, you’ll have the support of a personal concierge based in Africa. They’re on hand to share true local insight and help you with everything from deciding what to pack to making restaurant reservations.

Mara Conservancies

Angama Mara
Towering high on the Rift Valley’s Oloololo Escarpment with direct and private access to the Mara Triangle, this lodge's name was inspired by the Swahili word for ‘suspended in mid-air’. It's not only its location that makes it stand out, but also its commitment to education, health and conservation in the region.

Volcanoes National Park

Wilderness Bisate Lodge
Utterly unique in its design, six sumptuous forest villas are luxurious while retaining environmental principles and reflecting the culture of the surrounding country. Each has a generous yet intimate combination of bedroom, reception space and bathroom, heated by a central fireplace and a private deck looking out to Mount Bisoke. The spherical stone and thatch architecture, said to be inspired by the Royal Palace of traditional monarchs, continues through to the communal areas such as the dining room, bar and spa, detailed with a variety of woven materials, local crafts and more modern touches. Wilderness Bisate is a short drive to the national park’s headquarters, from where gorilla treks depart daily, and you can also embark upon forest hikes to see rare Golden Monkeys and other wildlife. Visit the site of Dian Fossey’s research camp and grave, meet the community on guided village walks, plant a tree as part of the Wilderness Bisate’s reforestation project or perhaps tag along with the chef to the local market to buy ingredients for dinner.

Sossusvlei

Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
Designed to capture the splendour and solitude of the desert, just ten stone and glass desert villas spread out along the curve of the escarpment allowing absolute privacy. Each air-conditioned suite features a private veranda, split-level bedroom and living room with fireplace, en-suite glass-encased bathroom and outdoor shower. The villas are equipped with a stunning star-viewing skylight, discreet CD system, custom-stocked personal bar and compact spotting scope for magnificent star and game viewing. The guest area, where walls have become windows that fold away completely, boasts unimpeded desert vistas. The split-level Lodge features a fire-lit bar, comfortable sitting room, swimming pool, wraparound verandas and a Safari Shop. A fine selection of wines from an impressive walk-in wine cellar complements delicious Pan African meals. Guests can escape the desert heat with a revitalizing midday dip in the pool fed by water from an underground spring. At sunset, animals are drawn to a nearby waterhole, enhancing desert sundowner drinks.

Victoria Falls

Matetsi Victoria Falls
Set within the pristine Matetsi Private Game Reserve along an exclusive 15km (9 mile) stretch of the Zambezi River a little upstream from Mosi-oa-Tunya, Matetsi River Lodge perfectly combines fine safari with easy access to the thrills and adventure of Victoria Falls. En suite bathrooms boast indoor and outdoor showers as well as a deep bath which looks out over the Zambezi. A private veranda offers a refreshing plunge pool and a peaceful sitting area that overlooks the river. At the heart of each camp is a communal area with a variety of dining spaces, an interactive kitchen, convivial bar area and an al fresco area that encircles a blazing fire bowl, all with unifying theme of a wood and copper, the ‘red gold’ of the country’s historical mining industry. There’s also a large central pool, massage sala, fitness centre and wine cellar. All the coordination from the time we entered the country being toured until we left was handled in a seamless and professional manner. Every accommodation was first class, and all employed staff members in the overnight venues were truly professional. The only exception was the airline chosen for internal flights. Their performance was very uneven and disjointed.
